    REBELS HIRE NEW ASSISTANT
    ---------------------------------------------
Red Deer, Alberta -- The Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club announced today that they have hired former
captain Jesse Wallin as an assistant coach.

Wallin was an assistant coach of the Red Deer Bantam Rebels this past season, following a
professional career that began in 1998.

Wallin played four seasons with the Rebels and was a former first round draft choice of the
National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings.

Rebels general manager/coach/owner Brent Sutter also announced that the contracts of assistant
Dallas Gaume and trainer Dave "Radar" Horning have been extended.

The contract of goaltending coach Cam Ondrik meanwhile was not renewed.

Red Deer has also added Garrett Zimmerman in marketing and sales. He was previously with the
    Swift Current Broncos.
    ---------------------------------------------
Not mentioned in the article, Dean Williams has resigned as well and will be moving on, and Garrett Zimmerman will be taking over Deans Position.

Good to see the Coaching staff we have will be around for a while, preparing for our run in 2-3 years.

Sad to see Ondrik and Williams go. Rumor has it that Ondrik is going back to school. Good luck to both of them.

    Thumbs up Sutter Getting Ready...

Does anyone think that Sutter might be setting up the coaching staff so that he is able to move on in the future? With all the talk that Phoenix wanted him, and then he is still in the running for World Junior's next year.
Just a thought.... Jesse will definately be an asset on the bench.. look forward to the first "bad" reffing call!!!

I have seen Zimmerman in action, this may be Sutters best move yet.
