    I say Blades in 5.

I bet Saskatoon wins game 1 and 2.

    PA wins game 3.

    Saskatoon wins 4 and 5.

All the Eastern Conference Matchups are set.

1 Saskatoon vs. 8 Prince Albert
2 Red Deer vs. 7 Edmonton
3 Medicine Hat vs. 6 Brandon
4 Kootenay vs. 5 Moose Jaw

I think the matchups set up really nicely for the Blades. Some DAMN good teams are going to be knocked out right off the bat, and it also ensures that the Blades won't have to face the Rebels in round 2, which is a huge positive as I think they are the biggest threat besides Saskatoon.

Here's how I see it shaping up:

Saskatoon over PA in 5 (maybe 6)
Red Deer over Edmonton in 5
Brandon over Medicine Hat in 6
Kootenay over MJ in 7 (but I could see MJ winning too)

If that all happened, that would mean:

Saskatoon vs. Brandon and Red Deer vs. Kootenay in round 2.

I see it being pretty close to that as well. It pains me to make the one change but I think Brandon's inexperience on the back-end, and between the pipes, eventually catches up to them against Med Hat ...

Saskatoon over PA in 4 (the Blades are just better, period)
Red Deer over Edmonton in 5
Medicine over Brandon in 7 (real close series but home ice goes to the Hat)
Kootney over Moose Jaw in 6 (but Kootney gets banged up for round 2 ...)

So if that came true, it would be Saskatoon v Kootenay and RD v Med Hat. Two damn good series.

Blades def. P.A. in 4 (The Blades have played dopey in P.A. before, but this time after winning the first two games at home, the Blades will win big in P.A. in game 3. The Raiders aren't tough and when we push they roll over and take it).

Red Deer def. Edmonton in 5 (Kuemper isn't as good as everyone says, you watch...he'll lose at least one game for Red Deer by letting in some stinkers).

Brandon def. Medicine hat in 6 (Brandon fills the net at home. Sure the Tigers have the speed, but a good team game will beat them every time, plus Glennie and Stone are much more dangerous than Vey and Etem).

Moose Jaw def. Kootenay in 6 (Eakin is a defensive liability, at least he has been playing against the Blades. Sure the Ice are balanced on all lines, but the Warriors have a better goaltender I think and their toughness will wear the Ice down, plus with this being the final year of the Crush Can, you can be sure Kootenay will get run out of that building).
