Thread: Kyle Haas

Possibly the best game he has played this year as blade. Good hustle, kept his feet moving and didnt miss any checking opportunities. I hope he keeps this up and settles in to his role. Keep up the good play Kyle. On another note i keep whining about Hotter but wow, POOR passing, no checking lost his man several times and kept getting icetime????? i just dont see the upside to this player so far. If hes a offensive guy put him on a forward line and see what happens.

Pretty sure Hodder is exactly what we see. Talked to a couple of guys in Vancouver who all say the same things about the kid. Doesn't seem to learn and then doesn't seem to care...
Hope he figures it out soon with the ice time he gets. Almost another short handed goal against last night because of his lackadaisical approach.

Unless they think he will come around with lots more ice time i think its time to get rid of him. I dont see how he warrants any more ice than Fafard, or Stipancik. I consider this tade as a swapping of 20yrs, and two lazy players. At least Bews was showing a bit more ( very tiny bit ) of a physical game again. Vancouver got the better on that swap, as far as Hodder / Bews goes. If Don Hay couldnt motivate he isnt going to be.

He'll get better remember he missed all of training camp and the preseason he may just be getting into game shape now i think there trying to groom him as a PP specialist if he has not improved by the time christmas comes then i say yeah maybe look into dealing him i still think it's a little to early

I'd say the Blades did better. Burns has done really well here and already is a leader on the team. Bews needed a change of scenery, he wasn't cutting it here. Morrison was no loss as we have Makarov who has been great so far and we have him next year as well plus maybe as a 20 yr old two years from now. Hodder hasn't been all that great but we still got a 4th round pick out of the deal to so who knows how that will pan out.

prospect Revel ties the game for Team BC, scores the fanciest goal of the #U16ChallengeCup so far, and shorthanded to boot. that was via twitter

Man this Matt Revel the blades claimed has been very good in his junior league and this tourney so far looks like a steal

Burns has played very well, we won half the trade. I hope you guys are right about Hodder. I dont mid that he isnt hitting guys, but the turnovers, bad passing, and losing your man in our zone has to stop!! he going to give me a heart attack! the fourth round pick is a wait and see thing hope it all works out time will tell, but the clock is ticking for some players.

He plays Midget AAA not Junior and I'd wait until he plays here before we call him a steal. With him doing really well in the BC midget league there will be BCHL teams after him probably. Hopefully playing in the Memorial Cup tournament will persuade him to play here next year.

Would be nice if the Blades got him to play a few games this year as a call up.

Yes junior i know he plays midget AAA anytime a player is doing what he does and is listed by a club so far it's a steal in my opinion we will see what he can do with the big boys if he gets called up 1 player i think should be with the Blades right now is Stockl over a guy like Elliott who much older and is sitting out half his games Elliott is wasting a spot

Maybe your right, but would Stockl just be sitting on the bench, or scratched as much as Alex?? it would hurt development if he didnt get the ice time too.
