    Default Raiders Recall Mahura

Prince Albert SK – The Prince Albert Raiders have recalled 16-year-old forward Luke Mahura from the St. Albert Raiders Midget AAA for the remainder of the season.

Mahura is currently in sixth overall in Alberta Midget Hockey League scoring, with 13 goals and 8 assists in 21 games played. The St. Albert, Alberta product was drafted in the 2nd round, 28th overall by the Raiders in the 2010 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

“We are pleased to bring Luke back for the season. He has gotten off to a great start in St. Albert and are excited to watch his continued growth and development with us at the Western Hockey League level,” said Raiders General Manager Bruno Campese.

Mahura will arrive on Friday and will be available to play this weekend.

Now, don't let him rot on the bench. But probably the best thing Campese could have done at this point. Let the kids play. People will be more accepting of a losing hockey club if it's a collection of willing, hard working kids and not aging plugs.
