Trust in him, and he will build you a winning team.
Disagree with above statement. Habschied has a Memorial Cup because of the team built by Lorne Frey and Bruce Hamilton in Kelowna. Habschied had no GM duties and basically just had to open the bench doors that season. The team won in spite of him. Reality check .... he is an old school coach wanna be. Don Hay he is not, but tries to demand that kind of respect. Without a strong and competent GM providing him with a 'can't miss' team, Habschied is out of his depth and will drive the crowds away just like he did in Chilliwack for two seasons, by putting a poor product on the ice.

I have a solution for Mr. Habschied ...... do a couple of deadline deals with Lorne Molleken of the Blades. He did wonders for the Wheat Kings last year!

Habby had to pretty much rebuild from scratch...everything.

May's refusal to move assets with value (Holden, Moller - not many expected him to go pro @ 19, Santorelli) in their last season in the WHL really set this franchise backwards huge, and was the reason why he was let go. Yes, Junior Hockey is "cyclical" but when May never really tried to "rebuild" this club since the Expansion draft, how do you expect to get better when you just allow your valuable assets to just walk off? Closest thing to a rebuild move was Stoesz for Metz, and that trade didn't really work out for us. Everyother move seemed to be either 1 for 1's or giving away draft picks. Now really what you would say as "rebuild" moves.

When Habby came in, he more than doubled the scouting staff for the Bruins. Yes, maybe he was inexperienced as a GM, but I feel he has made better moves with what he had left available, and was willing to take chances (low risk with possible higher reward - McKenzie deal for instance). Sure they McKenzie deal flopped, but it was worth the shot.

The closest thing to a "rebuild" was when Habby came in, and cleared out Betteaur, MacDonald etc from camp at the beginning of Season 4. But that was a team cleans, using exisiting draft picks, and PPL listed players...not trading away assets for more assets.

If they move Sundher, that'll be the first real asset to be moved for the future (and not giving away any future) since season 1. All other moves were laterals, or buying. Never once have they sold. Not sure if RG Properties will actually stand behind a "sell off", or if they will do as Porter did before, look at the revenue of 2 minimum home playoffs games in your barn. Sometimes these decisions are not just on the GM's plate...but may also come from the President's desk as well.
