Took some time to learn more. Very skilled and physicaly developed. What would Florida do with him next year? I'm assuming he could be here just one year and be part of a go for it this year plan. If so how do you make room? Melni, Hunts or Millsy......

The WKs midas well take a stab at it this year Stone is a man playing among boys out there, he makes OTTAWA next year hands down, & Ferland will be in the AHL as if my memory serves me right without looking it up he will be 20 next year

Man you want a goalie bad Simpson Pickard lol If the price for your shopping list goalie, Petrovic & a no.1 center is too high KM may be a seller . Stone may bring almost as much as Schenn if he continues to play well & Canada wins gold . Can KM pass that up ?

Brandon is trying to buy some more this year.

Don't forget they also traded for Dziurzinsky earlier this year.

The Wheaties are currently in 5th place in the Eastern Conference, 6 points out of 2nd and 3 points out of 3rd. Now is not the time to be a seller.

    Playoff revenue > trade return.

There are a few teams in the East who would love the WK's to sell this year! But I don't think we're sellers. Kelly didn't want to sell off the farm last year while he thought the team had some promise, and this team is a lot better than last years, combine that with all the parity in the East (except for Kooteney) and you don't sell. If Ferland and Stone stay healthy how can you not try and build a team around them in their last year? It would have to be stupid offers (calling Uncle Lorne and the Blades!) for the WK's to deal one of those guys away.
If we stand pat we'll finish mid pack and can win a round in the playoffs. If we make a couple smaller deals we have the potential to win up to 2 rounds maybe. If we get average goaltending (which, to be fair, Anderson has given us since Boes went down, 3.16 GAA and .916 SVP) and a good 2nd line center 18 year old, we could make some noise up to the 3rd round.
We do need to have a compliment of 14 or 15 forwards (and stop using Nikkel/Kuzcek as forwards) and get rid of one of the older d-men to make room for Nikkel.
Last year I really wanted us to be sellers, it made sense with the team we had, this year, it makes sense to be small buyers!
Never argue with idiots, they just drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

They are going to be buyers. They are probably a player or 2 away from being a power. You are going to get Stone and Bertaggia back

If they add Petrovic and Sundhar they really could go on a roll in the 2nd half.

    Stone Walker Ferland
    Bertaggia Sundhar Dziurzynski
    Favreau Seaman Meilleur
    Mraz Ciarelli Conroy

    Petrovic Roy
    Pulock Melnychuk
    Fransoo Miller

Now that is a team that can do some damage. Don't know what it would cost us though

The Sundher trade winds have blown through saskatoon as well only if the Blades get conformation that he could be back as a 20 i think they will really go for him
