As I said in the other post. With him playing better then other players on the team playing 29 games 8 pts and only 12PIM, he is an asset to them. Tampa currently has 5 players on the injury books as well

I agree he is an asset to them now but whats better for his long term? Playing only 9-12minutes a night in the NHL or continuing to develop and play 20+ minutes in TC for the rest of the year?

Brett Connolly has been a household name across Canada for the past couple of years thanks to suiting up for country twice at the World Junior Hockey Championships including at the tournament in Alberta that concluded last week but he knows he's still got a long way before he can become a household name down in the Tampa Bay area. The 19-year-old, who spent the past three full seasons with the Prince George Cougars before being selected sixth overall by the Lightning at this past summer's Entry Draft, made the team out of camp and hasn't looked back since with the exception of his two week stint with the Canadian juniors. He's shown some signs of the offensive touch he was known for in junior so far this season with the Lightning despite not always being used in a top-six role netting four goals and eight points to date although he is looking to snap a season-high seven-game point drought which dates back to November 28.

Tonight will mark the first time that the native of Campbell River, BC will get to face the team from his home province in his career. It will also be just his second game back in the NHL since returning from the World Juniors. Tampa Bay has a record of 3-1-0 in games where Connolly scores and a 5-2-1 record in games where Connolly notches a point.
