    Default Blanar Released...Yay or Nay?

He was a great kid, but was doing nothing to the team really. Why waste a euro spot on a tough euro when we all know Canadians are the toughest LOL...Sorry to see you go Michal! Your a great kid and brought ALOT to this community! Thank you!

When he came as a 17 yr old, fourth line, got in a few fights early I thought this is a Esa Tikanen type. He was that type of player but never managed to impact the team. He was there, but alot of time you never noticed him? Too bad I think he could of gone farther in hockey than this level.

    Default Blanar

He is one of the few players in junior hockey that finished every check. One of the most hard working players I have seen in a long time.

I will second this. Tough seeing a kid like that get cut loose, maybe another dub team will pick him up?

It's too bad that things never worked out here for him. He is a great guy and has the skills to be a great hockey player! Hopefully another WHL team will pick him up and he'll succeed because I'd love to see what he'd be like if he played to his full potential!

Miso, I'll miss ya 'bud'. Keep in touch and let me know if you're ever back in Kelowna so you can come over for dinner again. You'll always have a seat at our dinner table! haha!!

Working hard is one thing, and producing is another. Fifty four games Blanar has two points, four sixteen year olds have equaled his production and a defenseman has doubled his production. Sure Blanar worked hard, but as Howie Meeker would say he has cement hands and couldn't hit the ocean on the end of the warf.
