Post Rockets acquire goalie Jackson Whistle from Giants

The Kelowna Rockets have acquired 1995 born goaltender Jackson Whistle from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a third round bantam draft pick in 2014.

A Kelowna native, Whistle will join the Rockets in Maple Ridge and will backup Rockets starter Jordon Cooke as the Rockets take on Victoria.

The Rockets have also re-assigned goaltender Cameron Barnes to Canmore in the AJHL.

Whistle, a 6-foot-1, 180 pound netminder, played in 21 games last season with the Giants.

Hmm, interesting that they traded a 4th since Kelowna would owe the Blades a 3rd round draft pick in 2014 if McColgan isn't back next year as a 20 yr old. Hamilton trying to pull a fast one? lol.

I'm sure that the Rockets can acquire a 3rd round bantam draft pick sometime in the next 2 seasons if they have to. Especially if they have to forfit a 2nd round pick if they don't
