The goalie ban just makes CHL and Hockey Canada mucky mucks look like they have mucky muck between the ears. The history of this position (import goalies) does not really support the whole idea of the imports at this level really taking away anything from our best goalies. Because the numbers don't add up it is not too easy for me to get bent out of shape about such silly idea, but I certainly do not agree with it, at all. The change needs to be more fundamental and start even sooner in the keeper's development. Now if they wanted to level the field a little more they could require that all international competitions held on Canadian soil must have only goal tenders with dual citizenship - Canadian and the country they play for. Now that would really help our homeboys, and the rule would still allow Hockey Canada to look just as smart as they do now, maybe even more.
