Thread: Pilon makes under 18 Team Canada.

Default Pilon makes under 18 Team Canada.

Great to see that Ryan Pilon made the under 18 Team Canada. Pilon is a stud D-man who played on a poorly coached team, yet had as good of a year as any 16 year old D-man. Plus, Pilon is 1 of only 2 players who are not even NHL draft eligible until 2015 and he is the youngest player on the under 18 Team Canada. That is a huge honor and shows that Ryan is one of the best 16 year old players in all of Canada. With hopefully a much better team and way better coaches, he can become a WHL, as well as a CHL all-star soon. Mark my words...Pilon will be a first round 10 NHL draft pick in 2015. Even as young as he is, maybe he should be the Captain of the Canes this coming year.

Too bad Duke did not make the team. The fact that Duke was even invited shows he has world class talent and he should take this as a positive indicator and show them all that they were wrong not to pick him. Hopefully without Preston's stupid coaching methods, and a much younger and motivated coaching staff, Duke can blossom this year to be a great player.

An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.
