Yes yes I dod lmao at you from that rant you had I can say you were wrong as well. Maybe Lang was throwing Robson under the bus showing him that he is way out of his league being a GM in the WHL (which still may be the case) I don't see 1 trade that he has won this year or that even slightly favours his team.

    What rant did he have?

He posted a one line sentence pointing out you were wrong about almost every Canes fan defending the trade. Many of us were pissed about it and thought it was an awful deal at the time.

As much as I hate that Robson will be making the deals the Canes need to move as many pieces as they can for younger players/picks.

Probably would prefer picks as Robson has shown a terrible ability to judge talent. At least with picks there is a chance that someone new could come in and use those picks wisely. Although with the current BOD unlikely we get anyone competent.

Default The More Things Change, the more things stay the same

There is a recurring theme here with the ownership/management structure of the Lethbridge Hurricanes, hopefully the formatting works... I will bold out the seasons the Canes finished with a greater then .500 record.

We have approx a .492 record as a franchise.. If you take other teams over the same period of 26 years here is what I found:
Medicine Hat .541 (this would include the 2 years they had a combined 30 wins, if you go further back past 26 years, their record would be better)
    Saskatoon Blades .525
    Moose Jaw Warriors .469
    Swift Current Broncos .560

I could go on further, but I think everyone sort of see's the point.. The bottom line is there is no point in fixing the Carriage if the Horse wont pull it..

Last night (Jan 17) was obviously a great night to be a former Hurricane's player who is still be playing in the Dub, but it was a bad bad night to be a Canes fan!

First of all a trio of Canes that now play for Seattle had their best game by far since they have been traded. They scored 3 of the “Thundercanes” 4 goals in a 4-0 victory over Tri-City. Good for those boys.

    McKechnie, Sam RW ………. 1g 0a = 1 - plus 2
    Yakubowski, Jaimen LW….. 1g 1a = 2 - plus 2
    Maxwell, Russell C ………….. 1g 0a =1 - plus 1

These players were the top 3 point getters for Lethbridge last year. Very frustrating as a Canes fan to see this. Interesting though that they all end up on the same team and would be a great line for Seattle.

I also noticed the following former Canes players had really good games last night:

Axel "Floater" Blomqvist had a good game with 0g + 1a and was plus 2 as Victoria beat the Rockets 3-1 last night. Jay Merkley had 1g + 1a = 2pts and was plus/minus 0 and Ryan Pilon had 1g + 1a = 2pts and was plus 3 for Brandon.

I guess these players have adapted to their new teams "systems and structure". With 6 or more former Hurricanes having such good results on one night, it just adds to the unmitigated frustration we Canes fans have to deal with!!!!

For a projected first round NHL pick, the fall from glory must be kind of tough. To fall all the way to the fifth round with how high central scouting had him, shows that teams in the NHL do not like quitters. By falling from the first to fifth round has cost Mr. Pilon millions of dollars. Things don't look so rosy now eh?

Nice to see Jamal Watson get invited to the Canadiens rookie camp. Maybe a good coach can get his game fixed and his speed will wow them.
