Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell announced the team has acquired 19-years-old center Russell Maxwell from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for right wings Seth Swenson (20-years-old) and Michal Holub (17-years-old) and a fourth round pick in the 2014 Bantam Draft.

“We are excited to add Maxwell to our team. He is a competitive quality center that helps us in both ends of the rink. We really wanted to add to our team at center ice and this is a great addition heading into the playoffs,” said Farwell.
