New WHL Playoff Format

It's regarding a change to the playoff format, I think it's exactly like the NHL playoff format now, what does everyone think of this. I think there purpose is to make the road to the cup more fair...........

This means the first round for 2014 would have been:

Eastern Conference

Central Division — Edmonton vs. Prince Albert (lesser wild card), Calgary vs. Medicine Hat;
East Division — Regina vs. Kootenay (better wild card), Swift Current vs. Brandon.

Western Conference

B.C. Division — Kelowna vs. Tri-City (lesser wild card), Victoria vs. Vancouver;
U.S. Division — Portland vs. Spokane (better wild card), Seattle vs.Everett.
