I think with the change at the GM position the trickle down effect will essentially (or hopefully) clear out everything and just about everybody. I know there have been changes in the scouting department (even with Bonner in charge) but there needs to be a complete overhaul. Anyway what we do know is change is coming. Whether that is good long term or not is yet to be decided. At this point I don't see how it can get much worse. On a personal note, it gets harder and harder to watch the sport as it changes to something I barely recognize each and every year. So while the Giants may get better in time, I fear I won't be watching much hockey as the product continues to go down the toilet, IMO. It has nothing to do with winning and losing. It has to do with entertainment and there isn't much of it. And no, winning games isn't enough.

Have to agree Lucic - other than a few games here and there the game has lost its edge. Intensity is rewarded with "game management" penalties and the league seems to be doing everything in its power to dumb down and homogenize the game itself. When I am seeing more consistent hitting in the NHL than the WHL - things are going wrong.

I sincerely hope there is a "trickle-down" effect, but I'll believe it when I see it.
