Of course if the ship was being run properly they likely would not have hired two head coaches in the first place. And given the seeming track history of too many cooks in the kitchen, or too much meddling maybe that hiring reason is still owning the team.

Can't argue with any of that. I do think Hay's shelf life with the team was expiring regardless. But it didn't help to have two head coaches behind the bench. You know egos are going to get in the way at some point. It's inevitable. Problem was they just assumed it would be easy to replace Hay with a good coach because at one point this was a very desirable organization. They made the mistake of waiting too long...all the good coaches had jobs and they got stuck with Ward. Needless to say that was a horrible choice and one could argue they never fully recovered from that huge mistake. Now a lot of people want to steer clear of the Giants. Can't say I blame them. It's a **** show dysfunctional from the top. Toigo needs to realize he may have the money but he doesn't know **** about how a team should be run from a day to day standpoint. He is an owner for a reason. Stay that way. Don't pretend to be anything more than that and everybody else is better off because of that.

From what I have heard it was also a case of Ron not wanting to open up his wallet to pay more for a more qualified coach. Whether that is true or not, it doesn't matter.

Well the move to Langley will keep them afloat for a while. Toigo will save so much money at worst he'll be able to make up for the years of consistent loss. I don't know if he'll basically break even or make money but it won't be any worse than what it has been at the Coliseum the past several seasons. But from a hockey standpoint he is completely lost and needs to get hockey people running the show if he hopes the team can take any steps forward.

There is no doubt the team will recoup some of what has been lost in the last few years with the insane increase in ticket prices. It doesn't matter that the team hasn't won a playoff round in six years or that they have missed the playoffs three of the last four seasons because the LEC is a guarantee sellout every game & operating costs will be cut in half, if not more.
