I thought that the elite crop of young Euros were not allowed to be drafted into the CHL. The likes of Ovechkin, Malkin etc I thought they were not offered to be selected by the CHL hockey teams or they were on some sort of protected list which made them ineligible to be selected in the import draft. Anyone know anything more on this?
