    Icon32 Western Hockey League Preview

A Blog by Brett Murray on his “The Flying V” in what he projects to be an informative, yet a likely way out to lunch season preview of the Western Hockey League. His preview goes into depth with each team whilst chronicling his thoughts on the teams forwards, defenceman and goaltenders. Teams will be pegged in ascending *order from one through twenty two. Twenty two will be the organization who unfortunately could find itself stuck in the basement to the number one team who He has identified as the team to beat this winter.

Brett Murray needs to do some fact checking. Stating Morrison will battle Heid for a 20 spot takes away all credibility. As much as I like Moe, and expect him to improve his stats, our first line of Stallard, Miske and probably Kelly will lead our team this season, depending on trades or injuries.

The amount that Murray puts into this piece is admirable but when you completely miss Brett Davis on the Kootaney Ice, you know the guy we traded our 20 year olds for, the guy drafted by Dallas Stars, the guy likely to be our 1st line center.
Makes me shake my head. There are several other head shakers but I'm an Ice fan so this one really burned me. Now here's hoping the team competes this year. Go Ice...for gods sake.

I think Brett Murray really doesn't have a clue on some teams. Having the Blades below Vancouver, Brandon, Calgary, Red Deer, Kelowna. WOW

You think the Blades are better than any of those teams? Send some of your Kool-Aid my way. You won't live long enough to see the Saskatoon berries become a force in the WHL.

I never said they would be a force just that they will be better than the teams I listed. Get your facts straight or your just another wanna be with nothing to back up their arguement

Better than Kelowna and Red Deer and Brandon??? What are you smoking? Crap in one hand and wish in the other. Wow! You are misguided. Better check your facts.
