Willims is far from perfect, but not anyway close to the problem. The defensive core is terrible on a good day and the injuries don't help when you're plugging and playing players that have no use being in the WHL.

A Burzan (17) and Popple (17) along with a first round pick for 2019. This should be a very valuable pick due to us having a down year next year. That's three firsts (probably a few later draft picks included as well) at minimum to bring in Hart. Not to mention how well he has been doing lately it will probably just increase his value if he is even going to be traded.

Burzan and Popple are going to be great players in this league, but I still don't know if this package would be enough to pick up Hart.

I don't want to risk repeating what happened the last time that we had a good team. Pick up a good goalie and spend whatever it takes. There is no sense in hoping that our goalie will be good enough when there are proven goaltenders out there on the market.

Hunter only has a few more games before he goes off to world juniors to evaluate his squad. I'm sure he has already told Millar who he wants and who he is willing to give up. It will be an interesting month in the East.

I don’t know if the warriors need to go after hart. He would be awesome to have but at what price? I wouldn’t be trading Burzan either. I feel he is a part of the core this year and could be a player we use in a couple seasons to recoup assets we give up this year. I realize you have to give up talent to receive it but I think Burzan is a big part of the warriors depth this season. With mj being an older team this year, I think we will see a couple older players moved to fill in the other teams roster (like a Langan) along with prospects and picks that are in the system.

I agree with you that we should try to keep Burzan. I was just picking two high end, younger players that we have to possibly trade in order to aquire Hart. (Maybe swap out Burzan for Tracey?) I would be alright with going after Skinner or Ferguson aswell. It would allow us to add another solid defenseman, or a right hand shot, with the left over assets that we wouldn't have if we got Hart.

I was also basing my selection of players off of what Everett might want. Apparently their goalie Wolf (16?) Is supposed to be a really good goalie in a few years. They might look at guys like the two I mentioned to build around him in the coming years. If that's the case any older player that we do include will just be a throw in.
