Mateychuk at 6 if he is there but being one of the top ranked D man he is likely gone before then. Geekie at 6th if he is there.

What do you do if they are not there at 6? It may be worth trading a player or players and / or picks to Winnipeg or PG to get one of these players if they are that coveted.

Not worth giving up a potential 4 year player by giving up a 1RD of even 2RD pick to move up 4 spots. You take what's left there. If they want them the easy move is to see if the feeling is mutual, and then have the player warn the 5 teams in front of us. In theory simple, in practice harder, but IIRC is that not how we ended up with Patrick?

Can't see going through 5 teams with either Mateychuck or Geekie especially now that 3 of the top picks have committed to the college route. I guess we will see what direction the team goes.

Good for him. Drops his chances of returning quite a bit.

Not surprising. He had a great season. Can't believe people here thought he wasn't going to get signed

As for the draft. Conor Levis isn't a top 5 pick imo, he might go late in the 1st. Lindgren is a 5 to 15 guy on a few boards I have seen. My top picks would be Savoie,Singleton,Dowhaniuk,Ziemmer and Gustafsson.

What boards have you seen? The bantam draft is very interesting this year because of the WK have the 4 picks in the top 23. Great for Mattheos as I was one of the people who wondered if he would ever get signed. That eliminates the possibility of him returning to Junior.

F Rieger Lorenz (2004) from Calgary commits to University of Denver for 2022-23.

Another highly-touted bantam player who will now slide down the order in the upcoming draft.
