This weeks episode is fresh off the press.
The season is quickly coming to an end, we still have some hockey to talk about though. 3 games to review, and a home and home with MJ coming up. We discuss potential goaltender drama?. A former Pat speaks to another podcast and more

Avaliable on iTunes, Spotify, Podbean or your favorite podcast app.

Do you guys think the Pats stand 'pat' going into the draft? Or do you think they make a splash and make a move either roster related or moving up in the draft related?

Id guess, with the potential top pick next year from swift current, their eggs are largely in the 2020 basket. I bet they play it safe this year, and use what they got from the trades without drafting many ‘project’ type players.

Honestly Im just content seeing that theres still some interest and dialogue going on about a team which isnt really pegged to be going anywhere for at least a couple years. It really says something. Just goes to show this isnt just “riderville”.

I hope these podcast guys continue what they do; recaps of previous games are an appreciated novelty...and if its not corporately sponsored, it will ensure candid analysis. Who knows...perhaps a point or two may find its way to someones desk who has influence on the team?

One thing in favor for these guys is that theres no shortage of topics to discuss. The most apparent topic they can talk about is the upcoming bantam draft. They can discuss what kind of player they'll draft(or should draft) in the first round and beyond, based on what they need, what they already have, and what they are in range to pick. And whether to take the best player available or best at requires position. they could always bring on an informed guest to share insight on the 2019 class, and maybe even make a couple mock bantam drafts.

Its worth talking about the draft obviously, but also the euro situation; whether its wise to either keep both sedov/alkimov, or to release one(or if possible, trade one) in order to use their high import draft pick on perhaps a better and younger player. Maybe also touch on the likelihood of seeing Savoie or Smilanic report, their thoughts about the coaching, evaluating past trades, updates on former pats in the pros + NHL/KHL etc

Or even general thoughts on the league and the sport, like my favorite bugaboo, the state of the game today.

To me my favorite period, aside from serious playoff games, is training camp. I may have to tune in for coverage if the podcast proves to be more than just boilerplate, basic observations. Even still, like i said, its even just good to put in an effort and generate some discussion.

The Podcast is just another perspective of this blog that has been here for years. It's just a couple of guys who's knowledge, background and relevancy is yet to be determined talking about the Pats much the same we do here. This year it's been pretty thin on this site because in Regina not too may support a loser whether it's the Pats or the Riders.. Unless something is interactive anybody can start a podcast and talk about something they may or may not actually know anything about. It still boils down to the opinion of a individuals with no vehicle for other and divergent opinions. I also find it a little strange that the WHLFans site would be allowing a different venture to piggy-back off of their site, particularly if there is any possible financial or compensatory element to it. Without bringing in truly accepted and significantly informed hosts and guests, and making it totally interactive for opinion, comment, and contrary positions, it's relevancy is marginal. A couple of ordinary guys giving their personal take on the Pats can he heard any night of Pats game. Those opinions may or may not have accuracy or even common sense.

There are a lot of topics and a ton of highly knowledgable people on this site, which is often visited by fans of other teams. If the Pats were approaching 50 wins this site would be lighting up. i would hope that posters will try to get somewhat enthused about the Pats whether good or bad. There will be lots to discuss and there has been lots of good discussion on this blog. Hopefully we see a lot more contribute regarding a host of subjects. Obviously there is lots to discuss and including; coaching staff, current players, possible trades, Bantam Draft, Import Draft, overviews.

This has been a good blog and in fact one of the better ones for Pats interaction. I will continue to support it as long as it remains an entity.

We discuss this in the latest episode actually. Sounds like we wont be standing pat despite most of the team eligible to come back next year.

Thanks for the feedback! We are definitely doing this on our own so you will always hear our honest opinions.

We have had the import situation on the docket and we discussed it today. They should be looking into who they can get, they aren't doing their job if they aren't looking to improve the team.

We arent personally going to get into potential draft picks as we wont be seeing them play. After the 2018 Bantam draft we had Brennen from draftgeek.ca on to discuss our picks. He had seen most of the players we had picked. He has since moved on and is scouting for the Brandon Wheat Kings this season. We hope to get someone else on this coming draft. That episode is here, it is actually our most listened to episode.

We are doing this as a hobby so if you enjoy listening great, we are always open to feedback
