Not sure when it will start for the Wheat Kings but I did notice the roster is set

    https://whl.ca/roster/201/273

Added Hyland,Dube,Roersma,Zimmer and Danielson up front
Hoffrogge and Hammett on the back end
Sekundiak,Perepeluk, and McCallum are the 20s

    No Euros listed yet
No Reinhardt yet but he was still with Bellville in the AHL

Not sure which is more important winning or player development as the team has 8 rookies

Looks like we’re back on the air. WK are looking very good in the East Hub. Very impressed with the young guys. You can see Lowry’ s influence as every player on the team has a defined role. Kruger is playing better than I thought he would. Good combination of development and winning. Hyland and Danielson are going to be very good. Bedard is the next McDavid by all appearances.

    Ah what might have been

Looks like the east is ours this year but nothing else

Its too bad we looked really good and our young players were really starting to step up.
Wonder what we would have been like with our Euros and what we would have looked like against Edmonton.
    Kruger looked really solid

With all the assets we have we could have made a major trade or 2
    Add some top players.
Watch the maturation of Nate Danielson and Vincent Iorio and Tyson Zimmer and Brett Hyland

What a **** year to have this happen to us\
But we should be damm good again next year

Wonder about oA players next year? Kruger, Salame-who has been very solid this year and Nychuck. No way McCartney is back as a 20. Great season for McCallum should get him a further look in the pros. Team will be very good again next year. The East division will have some really good young guys like Bedard, Yeager, and Danielson. Victoria is last in the standings possibly giving the WK the top pick in the WHL draft(bantam) as we own Victoria’s 1st rd pick. Catton from Saskatchewan is consensus first pick and he might declare for exceptional status. That would be sweet.

I didn't realize Victoria was going to be as bad as they are this year. They keep up the good work we could land Berkley Catton . It sounds like he will apply for exceptional status. I know there is a lottery but the chances will be very good. Plus Moose Jaw pick will be high as well . Unreal how strong this team can be for the next 5 years.

I imagine they will decide the order of finish this year by winning percentage and not points only because not all the teams will play the same number of games. Definitely exciting times ahead for the WHL and especially for the WheatKings.

Yes, WHL announced today that points percentage will be the determining factor for the standings. With very few games left to be played, it is looking like Victoria will be last and Moose Jaw fourth last. Should result in two top 5 picks, with an outside chance of getting both of the top two picks depending on how the lottery is structured and the results of that lottery?

Wow! We can thank Armstrong the former GM for making those two trades that brought us 3 picks in the first round in 2019–Danielson,Zimmer,and Roersma as well as 3 more picks this year with a great chance of getting #1 overall and getting a shot at Berkeley Catton the no doubt first ranked pick as well as another very high pick with MJ’s selection. Great future for the franchise. Just not too sure about last years picks as none were highly ranked I think.
