This trade only makes some sense if someone else (a forward) ends up going somewhere else.
Is this Murray's version of a small push for the playoff's as we are on the bubble. Portland had to move a player due to numbers. A move that really doesn't cost us much. I don't see Frank as a WHL player vs NCAA. I think that's his destination. Portland being USA and on the West coast might give Frank something to think about.

Otherwise yes i agree we have four 19 yr olds up front. Chiasson going somewhere?... Edited to Chiasson to the Blades. Not surprising at all.

Wow Seattle is stacking for a Mem cup run. Sorry Wpg you need to make a huge move to get past Seattle with what they have.

Seattle getting Lambert back is just another huge stroke of luck for them too.

Well, Mr. Murray certainly isn't pissing around. Time will tell as to how these deals turn out, but he is certainly putting his stamp on things.

I wasn't sure whether keeping Calder Anderson over Riley Ginnell was the right move, but it appears to have been.

I wasn't sure as to whether Trembecky for Shipley & Wilson was an improvement, but it seems to have helped.

Looks to me like Murray is setting up for next year. Chaisson likely not back in Jr. Pasternak would be one of our OA. Johnson has not panned out so a change of scenery may be just what he needs. Flamand looks like a better player although a year older. Got a first round pick for Chaisson which is more than I thought was possible. Good to see Marty put his stamp on the team.

Huge win tonight against the #1 team in Canada—-the Seattle Thunderbird’s. WK played very well not giving up too much. Played fast and with purpose. Was impressed by the two new guys Sadher-Kang on defence who looks like an upgrade over Ward, and Pasternak who even though he is not big is fast and skilled. The defence played well tonight being quick on loose pucks getting in the way of Seattle’s forwards. WK would win a lot of games playing with the defensive play and tenacity they played with tonight. Alas you are dealing with kids so consistent play is an issue.

Watching game tonight between WK and MH. After 2 periods game tied at 2-2. WK very fortunate to be tied as they are getting outplayed. Not the same team I saw against Seattle. Getting out skated and losing puck battles and very poor passing by WK. Bjarnson is holding them in the game. Hope the new forwards play better going forward as so far not impressed at all. Pasternak keeps giving the puck away a la Roeresma. Need to cut them some slack as it will take them some time to fit in. Team really misses Hyland as he is out. Final score 4-3 MH crappy effort by the team. Need to win theses games if they want to make the playoffs which I do not think they will as Regina will finish ahead of the WK.

They earned that loss last night. Just a poor effort all around. If they don't start taking these poor teams serious, they won't make the playoffs. It's sad cause they have the talent.

4-1 MJ after two periods. Not sure how the WK beat MJ in their rink by a big score because from I see there is a sizeable disparity in talent level betweeen the two teams, with MJ having 4 or 5 players like Danielson while we have 1.

Very successful Alberta road trip taking 5 of 6 possible points. Team played very well defensively and got very good goaltending in the 3 games. Observations:Sander-Kang a definite up grade on Ward. New forwards are small so not sure how effective they will be going forward. Mantei has definitely picked up the pace lately.

Does anybody go to games anymore? Or just watch online? Sure are some sparse crowds.
