    HITMEN 2005 TRAINING CAMP OPENS TODAY
    For Immediate Release
    Friday, August 26, 2005
    Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club kicks off its 11th season today with Rookie Training Camp at the Don Hartman NE Sportsplex (5206-68th Street NE). Approximately 77 players will participate in the three-day camp, including the recent Hitmen selections from the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft. The Hitmen main camp begins on Saturday August 27th with fitness testing also at Don Hartman NE Sportsplex. All on-ice sessions are open to the public.

    Hitmen Rookie Camp

    Friday, August 26th
    9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Practice #1 (Team White & Red)
    10:15 – 11:15 a.m. Practice #2 (Team Black & Green)
    11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Goalies Session (All Goalies)
    1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Game #1 (Team White vs. Red)
    2:45 – 4:15 p.m. Game #2 (Team Black vs. Green)

    Saturday, August 27th
    9:00 – 10:15 a.m. Game #3 (Team White vs. Black)
    10:30 – 11:45 a.m. Game #4 (Team Red vs. Green)
    12:45 – 2:00 p.m. Game #5 (Team Red vs. Black)
    2:30 – 3:45 p.m. Game #6 (Team White vs. Green)

    Hitmen Main Camp

    Saturday August 27th
    4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Player Registration
    5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Fitness Testing

    Sunday August 28th
    9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Practice (Team Black)
    10:15 – 12:00 p.m. Game #1 (Team White vs. Red)
    12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Goalies Session
    1:45 – 3:30 p.m. Game #2 (Team Black vs. Red)
    3:45 – 4:45 p.m. Practice (Team White)

    Monday August 29th
    9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Practice (Team Red)
    10:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Game #3 (Team Black vs. White)
    2:00 – 4:30 p.m. Camp Inter-squad Game

    *All Times Subject to Change
    *Complete rosters will be provided at Don Hartman NE Sportsplex
    The Junior Hockey Junkies will also be there.

    Can anyone comment on Brett Sonne, those that have seen him play so far? What kinda player is he? Which line could he be on this year? I've heard one person say he'll be a playmaker more then a scorer.

    He sounds like an interesting prospect.
