    Pats drop Prince Albert 5 - 2

Friday afternoon it was Colten Teubert. On Saturday it was Nick Ross who stepped up and showed a lot of promise for the future of the Pats blue-line.

According to Pats Director Of Scouting, Todd Ripplinger, Ross, a sixteen-year-old native of Lethbridge was all over the ice at Credit Union Centre on Saturday afternoon in the Pats 5 - 2 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders. Ross picked up a goal and an assist and did a lot of things that don't show-up on a score sheet, showing why the Pats drafted him in the second round of the 2004 WHL Bantam Draft.

Ross scored the only goal of the first period on the powerplay. The Raiders evened the score 3:45 into the second frame on a Andy Smith power-play marker. Levi Lind put the Pats back on top midway through the period, but minutes later Ashton Hewson slipped a goal past Nathan Heinen to tie the game heading into the final period.

Jordan Fuder scored two even-strength goals to help put away the Raiders in the third period. Tyson Sievert added a power-play marker to help give the Pats a 1 - 1 record in the tournament. The loss dropped P.A's record to 1 - 1 after defeating the host Blades on Friday night.

The Pats won their second straight shoot-out on the strength of goals by rookies Levi Lind & Brett Leffler. Nathan Heinen stopped two of P.A's three shots to give the Pats a 2 - 1 edge in the demonstration.
