First game of the season so I thought it would be a good time for my first post. A lot of changes to this years team IMO. It remains to be seen how tough teams will have to be with the new rules. Seems to me it might be more important to have speed rather than size. It's definately going to be interesting to see how much the game changes and how much the refs try to control it.

Game two of the weekend tonite.

It was a good win, but there sure were a LOT of penalties. And not exactly the ones I thought there would be. Bridges stood tall, and maybe put to rest the feelings some had on it being his defense that made him look good last year. Just one game I know, but it was great to listen to hockey again. Had to laugh at Tom calling them the Sounders...but he'll come around!
Maybe we can have some hockey without all the penalties tonight.
