Yac has an injury. I think its a shoulder injury but I am not a 100% on that.
Thanks for the info, hopefully he'll be back soon!Originally Posted by Hitmen1

Yes it is a shoulder injury. Most likely the same shoulder he injured last season and had surgery to repair. This does not bode well for him.Originally Posted by Hitmen1

YACBOSKI GONE FOR SEASON

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2005
Calgary, AB Calgary Hitmen General Manager and Head Coach Kelly Kisio announced today Darryl Yacboski will miss the rest of the season with a reoccurring shoulder injury.
Yacboski, a 63 215lbs. native of Langley, BC, is in his 5th WHL season, 3rd with the Hitmen. The 20 year-old finishes his career with 196 games played between Regina and Calgary (10G+16A=26Pts). He also picked up 315 penalty minutes.
Yacboski underwent off-season shoulder surgery, but re-injured his shoulder in the second game of the season. After talking with doctors Darryl felt it was time to leave the game.
Its too bad, but we understand how Darryl feels, said Kisio. He would have been a big part of our team.
The Hitmen acquired the rugged defenceman in October of 2003 from Regina in exchange for fellow d-man Paul Albers.
Very sad for Yacboski.Serious injuries are occuring too often now. What a shame.
I remember back when he was in the lineup playing against the tigers. He was a big force very physical and a good fighter. Sad to hear about his latest news
