    Compass Facility Management and City of Kennewick Announce Naming Rights Agreement for Three Rivers Coliseum and Ice Arena

    Tri-Cities, Wash-City of Kennewick Mayor Jim Beaver announced today through the efforts of many organizations, the Three Rivers Coliseum and Ice Arena will have new names effective today.

    In partnership with Toyota of Tri-Cities a long-term naming rights deal was finalized this morning for the two venues. The Three Rivers Coliseum will now be referred to as Toyota Center and Three Rivers Ice Arena will be referred to as Toyota Arena.

    Compass Facility Management, has been working behind the scenes with representatives from Toyota of Tri-Cities, Toyota USA, Kennewick Public Facilities District, City of Kennewick, Tri-City Americans and the Tri-Cities Fever to work out the terms of a 10 year, $2.1 Million dollar naming rights for the two venues.

    Dwight Marquart, General Manager of Toyota of Tri-Cities, commented “We are excited about this partnership.” he also stated,” this is a testament of Toyota’s commitment to the growth of the Tri-Cities and its citizens.”

    City of Kennewick Mayor Jim Beaver stated today, “To place a nationally recognized brand on these venues represents a great day for the citizens of the Tri-Cities.” Mayor Beaver went on to say, “We believe this naming rights partnership will have a positive long-term impact on the future development of the entertainment district.”

    The Toyota Center, Toyota Arena and the Three Rivers Convention Center are located on the Three Rivers Campus in the heart of Kennewick’s Vista Entertainment District. Toyota Center is home to the Tri-City Americans Hockey Team and the NIFL Championship Team, the Tri-Cities Fever.

    Compass Facility Management, Inc. manages the day to day operations for the three venues of the Three Rivers Campus, under a management agreement with the Kennewick Public Facilities District and through an inter-local agreement with the City of Kennewick.

    I think its great. the traditionalists can cuss corporate naming all they want but when it comes down to it, 2.1 Mill can do a lot of great things to a facility. And lord knows we need some renovations done the barn.
