That was one of the strangest games I've been to in a while. 0-0 tie, shots at 20-18 and yet it was actually a fairly exciting game. Players were throwing bombs all night long. A ton of big hits. Ridiculously strong defense from both teams, despite the new rules.

Predictably in a game where neither team could hit the net all night long, of the 12 attempts in the penalty shootout, six of them either missed the net entirely, or hit the post. Even on Carson's "GWG", he hit the post, only to have the puck slowly slide forward and hit Leth's goalie's pad, then slowly slide into the net.

Totally bizarre game.
