Schenn done for the year..

This afternoon the Regina Pats announced that
nineteen-year-old defenceman Andy Schenn has been placed on the sixty-day
injury list and will not return to the ice this season.
Schenn played in five games this season, before suffering a concussion in
Saskatoon on October 8th.
Schenn, a 6'3" 228lb product of Humboldt also had his 2004-2005 season cut
short due to post-concussion syndrome.
"The ongoing lingering effects of the concussions that Andy has received
over the years have put him in this situation. While Andy's desire is to
continue to play, our medical staff determined that at this time and for the
foreseeable future it is unsafe for him to do so. It is disappointing to
all of us, most of all Andy, that his junior career had to end like this,
but Andy's long-term health is of far greater importance," commented Pats GM
Brent Parker.
The Pats acquired the Humboldt SK, native last November from the Vancouver
Giants in exchange for Paul Albers. In 123 WHL regular season games with
Spokane, Vancouver & Regina, Schenn has eight assists and 354 penalty
minutes.
The loss of Schenn leaves the Pats with seven defencemen on their current
roster.
