Question about early Giant days...

Wasn't there a contest to name the team? I remember being able to vote on the team colours...

I remember the vote for the team colours. I also remember that the runner up for colour instead of the maroon colour was blue...similar to the old blue jays shade.

I'm pretty happy with the colours now.I wear a 3rd jersey to the games.I also like the fact that WHL teams split their home uniform usage,Darks/Whites.
I think the NHL should go to this format,or go back to whites at home,I would prefer to see the visiting teams' darks,as they vary.The way it is now all we ever see is canucks in blue vs whites,the other way,we would see canucks in white vs reds,greens,blues etc.Just my pet peeve...
