Calgary is world-renown as the host of the very successful 1988 Winter Olympics. The Saddledome and the Stampede Corral are both located on the stampede grounds which can be accessed from the LRT (Light Rail Transit) at Victoria Park or Erltion Stations. Airport

By car
Trans-Canada (Hwy 1) passes through the city to the north of downtown it becomes 16th Avenue. Main road North South is Hwy 2 or called Deerfoot Trail.


Currency
Canadian money is in dollars and cents, similar to the United States.

Visas
Citizens or permanent residents of the United States do not need passports or visas, and can more often than not cross the US-Canada border with no problems.
