More like Calgary played the game tonight the way Red Deer does, and this was the result. Both teams were terrible, and I could only count exactly one quality scoring chance for either team all night - by the Rebels in the third. Pogge should have had the lone goal, but even then, it would not have been scored if Jeff Schultz wasnt an incompetent clown.

    Icon32 Kudos to the Rebels

They played as a team and shut down the Hitmen. Clogged up the middle keeping the HItmen to the outside and the Rebels justed waited for a mistake which is what happened when Schultz fell. Vandermeer seemed to fan on his deke but it good enought to get past Pogge. The Hitmen tried but having 4 regulars out and playing 2 man short was too much. Red Deer deserved the win just like we deserved the win last Tuesday. Maybe we will hook up again in the playoffs. Good luck in making it.

They did a much better job staying with their man defensively, actually having a competant, non-biased referee helped them a lot over the game 2 nights prior too!
