I was reading an article on future Bronco Kyle Bortis. When Kyle first came to camp this past year a spot was made available for him after scoring six goals in preseason. Kyle along with his parents didn't think he was physically prepared at 5'10 1/2" 160lbs. He asked to return to his home in Saskatoon and finish his midget career with his old team the Saskatoon Contact's of the midget AAA league. In 35 games this year, Kyle leads the league with 28 goals and 39 assists for 67 points. Although Kyle's team was at the Mac's tourny, he was not present. Another future Bronco, netminder Travis Yonkman led the Contacts to the championship with a 1-0 win in the final.

Kyle was with The World Under 17 Hockey Challenge in Lethbridge where he to won gold with Team Western. In the tourny final he was selected player of the game. In six games Kyle scored 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points.

Things are looking pretty bright for the Bronco's future. Could we have another Redenbach in the wings?
