    KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-City Americans today are pleased to announce that 20-year-old defenseman Logan Stephenson has signed a three-year contract with the NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes. Stephenson was a second round draft pick of the Coyotes in 2004.

    This season the native of Outlook, Saskatchewan appeared in 71 games for the Americans and had a career best in all departments with 10 goals, 43 assists, 53 points and 154 penalty minutes. Stephenson played in four years in an Americans uniform and in 249 games had 18 goals, 85 points and 472 penalty minutes.

    “I’m just floating on air right now,” said Stephenson. “I’d like to thank everyone for all the support in the Tri-Cities. Right now I’m sharing this moment with everyone there.”
