wait.. we gave up Cody Smuk AND a fourth rounder.. and Kamloops only gave up a fourth rounder? That doesn't make sense.

I think Vancouver has too many valuable players (assests for Mem Cup host trade-ability), that might have been selected. So why take a chance and lose a valuable part. It appears as tho Kamloops hasn't got the prospect/player depth availbale to 'wack.

But what do I know I'm just from the East...

[edit] It appears as though Chilliwack selected LW Ryan Hankin of Surrey. B.C. with the 73rd pick (from Kamloops).

    Default Trade With the Bruins

The Blazers also completed a pair of trades on the morning of the draft. They traded their 73rd pick overall (4th round) to the Chilliwack Bruins in lieu of the Bruins’ taking a player from the Blazers in the WHL Expansion Draft, therefore the Blazers will not be taking part in the expansion draft set for June 1st.

The Blazers also traded the 99th overall pick (5th round) to the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for the Warriors’ 122nd pick (6th round) in this year’s draft and Moose Jaw’s 5th round selection in the 2007 Bantam Draft.
