The Swift Current Broncos management staff will be a little bit different next season with a few changes in a number of areas.

Broncos General Manager/Head Coach Dean Chynoweth announced on Monday that Elden Moberg is now the team’s Assistant General Manager/Director of Operations and will oversee all business operations of the hockey club while continuing his Assistant General Manager duties. Chynoweth added, “With the potential expansion of the Civic Center near, there will be a needed focus to maximize all of our present and potential revenue streams.”

Jamie Porter has become the clubs Director of Scouting/Player Personnel and will now be responsible for the Scouting Department of the Broncos, including the WHL Bantam Draft and the Broncos 50 player protected list.

Chynoweth also announced the hiring of Ken Fox as the Broncos Assistant Director of Scouting. Ken joins the club after spending time in the Vancouver Giants and Red Deer Rebels organizations. Ken brings a wealth of experience to the team with his strong background in scouting throughout the WHL, and will be primarily responsible for the Manitoba and Saskatchewan regions.

“This should help streamline the efficiency of not only our scouting staff but also our business operations.”

The club also announced that they have exercised the option year of Assistant Coach Dave Hunchaks’ contract for the 2006/07 season. Athletic Therapist Paul Ayotte will be heading into his second season keeping the entire Hockey staff intact for next year. The front office staff; consisting of Carol Beyer, Brenda Wall, Corey Nyhagen, and Brad Boutilier, will be returning for the upcoming season as well.
