I don't see anything wrong with what he did. Yes it is more than a little old school but what harm was done really? They wore wet gear. They do it everday. Yes it would've been uncomfortable to be sure. That was the point. If this happened in the 70's nobody would say boo about it. I hope the league does not punish him.

When was the last time anyone in the league was leveled that kind of punishment? So they are saying they don't mind an all out line brawl (not that I mind it either) the first time, but this is completely not allowed. So next time, a coach gives them herbies because those don't get anyone fined..? I fail to see the logic.
