At least the game is taking place on a night where the WHL schedule is pretty light... One game on January 17... Brandon vs. Moose Jaw.

At least a lot of teams wont be missing the key components for a game at such an important time in the schedule.

It bothers me when they plan events like this or the Canada/Russia Challenge when teams (WHL, OHL or QMJHL) are playing, causing players to miss time with their clubs for almost what is an unnecessary event(s) in many cases. Most NHL teams have an idea who they are picking long before the Prospects game, but I guess it does give the kids one more chance to strut their stuff against other draft eligible players.
