The Nashville Predators agreed to terms Thursday with defenseman Dan Hamhuis on a four-year contract worth $8 million.

The 23-year-old defenseman had not been in training camp with the Predators, but negotiations resumed earlier this week. He will earn $1.5 million this season, $1.75 million in 2007-08, $2.25 million in 2008-09 and $2.5 million in 2009-10

Great news for Danny. I know he was a little concerned about heading into camp without a contract in hand. Seems like he's got some good paydays on his horizon.
