    Default Blazers Down Kittens

Reid Jorgensen scored twice to help lead the Blazers to a 5-3 win over Prince George last night at Interior Savings Centre.

Jorgensen, Ivan Rohác, and Tyler Shattock (his 1st WHL goal) staked the Blazers to a 3-0 lead after the opening stanza before the Cougars scored twice in the second to cut the lead to 3-2 after 40.

Brady Mason put the Blazers back in front by two with 7 minutes to play, a goal that would prove to be the game winner.

Jorgensen closed out the scoring after the Cougars clawed back to make it a 1-goal game again.

Final shots were 25-24 Cougars, with Dustin Butler earning the win and Real Cyr taking the loss.

The Blazers were 2-for-6 on the PP and 4-for-5 on the PK.

Not the blowout the first period was leading us to believe, but a solid win nonetheless. Overall the Cougars played better than I thought they would.

Cyr was a little shaky to start but got better and better as the game went on. Three times made miracle post-to-post stretch saves that would've put the game out of reach, but instead kept the Cougs in it.

Blazers were definitely not at their best but it's nice to see they can still win when playing a little subpar.
