Peter Mueller Named WHL Player of the Week

CALGARY, AB - The WHL Player of the Week is forward Peter Mueller of the Everett Silvertips. Mueller earned player of the week honours by scoring 2 goals and 6 points in 3 games, including a shootout game winner, helping the Silvertips to a 3-0-0-0 record last week.

On Wednesday, November 1, Mueller scored once and added an assist in a 4-2 win over the Blades in Saskatoon.

On Friday, November 3, Mueller enjoyed a three point night with a goal and a pair of assists for the 'Tips in a 6-2 win over the Raiders at the Art Hauser Center in Prince Albert.

On Saturday, November 4, Mueller had an assist and scored the game winner in a 3-2 shootout victory over the Pats in Regina.

Mueller, an 18-year-old native of Bloomington, Minnesota, was selected 8th overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Honourable mention goes to forward Steven DaSilva of the Kootenay Ice.
