    Default Thinking

as I was listing my names, looking at all the available names, I was wondering if Erat would or should be on this list. After some careful thought, I came to the conclusion that he was the catalyst for the memorial cup win and I believe he earned this distinction.

Great idea. My go. (Really similar but that's to be expected I guess)

    12 Forwards
    1) Boyd Gordon
    2) Colby Armstrong
    3) Kyle Wanvig
    4) Justin Mapletoft
    5) BJ Young
    6) Arron Asham
    7) Greg Schmidt
    8) Colin Fraser
    9) Craig Reichert
    10) Marty Erat
    11) Brad Leeb
    12) Dean Tiltgen

I really wanted to put Shawn McNeil in here too but ran out of room. Big Frank was close too. Jon Zukiwsky also. Yikes! Can I have 15?

    8 Defencemen
    1) Dion Phaneuf
    2) Darren Van Impe
    3) Jim Vandermeer
    4) Jeff Woywitka
    5) Ross Lupaschuk
    6) Jesse Wallin
    7) Mike McBain
    8) Derek Meech

edit: Decided on Lups ahead of Lynch at D. He had more offensive upside. Him and Van Impe at the point on the powerplay. Nice!

    3 goaltenders
    1) Cam Ward
    2) Shane Bendera
    3) Chris Wickenheiser

I really liked Marc Magliarditi too but he didn't play enough to really be considered. Good goalie though.

    edit: For spelling, darnit!

Good call on Ryan. Forgot about him. He made an Erat type impact to the team the year he played for us. Still wouldn't quite make it for me but would be another honourable mention. How many is that again?

Lindgren was another one that I considered for the D along with Thoma but they couldn't quite make it with the quality of my group, imo of course!
