Broncos Win 3rd Straight
DEC 7 - The Swift Current Broncos won their 3rd consecutive game last night in Prince Albert with a 5-2 win over the Raiders thanks to 3 power play goals.

After stumbling out of the gate this season, the Broncos power play is beginning to show some life as the team has scored 6 power play goals on their last 22 opportunities and are now operating at a 12.6% success rate. The Broncos 11 power play chances last night marked just the 9th time this season that they have had more power play opportunities in a game than their opponent. The team's 5 goals last night came from five different players: Matt Tassone, Dane Crowley (PP), Dale Weise (PP), David Stieler (PP), and Kyle Bortis (EN).

Kyle Moir made his return between the pipes for the Broncos and once again had a strong performance turning aside 36 or the Raiders 38 shots while recording his 9th win of the season.

The Broncos set a season high for shots in a period last night as they recorded 18 in the 2nd frame. The team is enjoying their first 3 game winning streak since October 6th and look to continue their success this Friday night when they travel to Moose Jaw. It will be the 4th meeting between the 2 teams this season with Moose Jaw winning 2 of the first 3, having outscored the Broncos 11-9 in those games. The Broncos then travel to Brandon for an important game against the Wheat Kings, who they currently trail by just 4 points for 1st place in the East Division.
