Congratulations on making two tremendous 3rd round picks.

Nicholas Navratil is a towering defender who isn't shy about playing physical. He's a reliable stay-at-home guy who punishes those who enter his zone.

Philip Gervais is someone I am very, very excited about. Big size, big shot, and big moves. He's deadly every shift and can burn the opposition a number of ways.

Default Bronco Picks

Here is what i've received so far:
Geordie Wudrick- LW 6'0" 160 lbs.
Ian Curtis- D 6'3" 190 lbs. No Stats
Nicholas Nauratil- D 5'11" 190 lbs. Calgary Bruins No Stats
Philip Gervais- RW 6'0" 171 lbs. Fort Sask Rangers GP 39 Goals 33 Assists 19 Points 52.
Edward Friesen-D 5'9" 160 lbs. Neepawa GP 4 Goals 3 Assists 5 Points 8 PIM 8
Jordan Mistelbacher- C 6'0" 165 lbs. Winnipeg Warriors GP 29 Goals 25 Assists 13 Points 38 Pim 58
Darren Tarasoff- D 6'0" 170 lbs. Castelgar Rebels No Stats
Kristopher Foucault- LW ?
Clayton Cumisky- C 5'8" 135 lbs. Abbotsford Hawks No Stats. Brother of Kelowna's Kyle Cumiskey
Tyler Gerrans- D 5'11" 160 lbs. Regina Hawks No Stats
Brock Geiger - D 5'10" 157 lbs. Calgary Royal Gold No Stats

I think the Bronco's did the right thing with their first pick in Wudrick. The kid is the most well rounded player in this draft. Beech may be better but has a poor attitude and has a chip on his shoulder. More of a me player than a team player. Wudrick is more of a team player, has good size and is in the Gordie Howe mould, also has stated he would love to go to the Bronco's because he has family in Sask. Why they picked a goalie so high is beyond me. Yonkman will be good with the proper guidance.

I may receive more mail on other drafts but this is all i got when i came home.

Default Bantam Draft

I realize hockey for us is over but we did have a draft today. Any responses on the picks. Why so many D-men and why a top rated goalie. Is he a replacement for Moir down the road to back-up Yonkman? Thoughts?

Clayton Cumiskey C
Jordan Mistelbacher C
Eddie Friesen D
Nicholas Navratil D
Tyler Gerrans D
Ian Curtis G
Kristopher Foucault LC
Geordie Wudrick LW
Darren Tarasoff RD
Brock Geiger RD
Philip Gervais RW

Okay I can understand RW = Right Wing, LW = Left wing
But what is LC : Left wing and Center?
RD : Right defense only??

Not a bad mix for a single years draft I don't think. How many of these players will actually make it? Wudrick is a lock I'm sure.

Why not take a goaltender. Afterall isn't Curtis the best goaltender in the draft? This is the way i see it, Moir will be out of the picture and Yonkman will be what, 20? When this kid is 17. Why not? It never hurts to have too many good goaltenders.
On a side note, i really am cheering for Gervais to have a solid career with Swift Current. Why? Well i like the name (last year it was that Nash fellow i decided to cheer for)
