Default Bantam Draft

Tomorrow is a big day for Swift Current in the bantam draft. Lots of picks acquired this year. Do you think we'll make any trades? Swift Current bantam picks have been less than impressive over the years. Postma looks good, but when was the last time our first round pick has worked out? Maybe Dean will trade for some quality players instead of having more first round duds picked for his team.

Default Bantam Draft

We will not trade our first round pick, second overall as this is the highest pick we have had in our history. We do have alot of draft picks that we got thru trades so we may see some movement. I did post under general discussion some of the top predicted picks with size for tommorrow.

Default Players being watched closely

Got word the Bronco's are watching one player very close. The player they are high on is Geordie Wudrick a 6'2" 180 lb. forward from Abbotsford. Who really knows until the draft. Tomorrow will be the big day. I hope they make a good choice with the second over all pick.

Default With second pick

If the Pats do take Teubert. We have to take Beach. Most people think that Beach should be going 1st overall, not Teubert. Should be an interesting day.

Heard today that local younster Cole English, just may be a late round pick.?? He's a big solid kid, that rarely gets knocked down and enjoys dishing out the rough stuff. You never know.

Default Bronco Bantam Pick

Here is what was taken from The Vanvouver Sun on Wudrick:

The Swift Current Bronco's are expected to take Wudrick with the #2 pick. Wudrick, who should go right after Teubert, is perhaps the best forward available in the draft. The 6'2" 180 pounder, has seen his stock rise in the last few weeks thanks to solid performances at the Abbotsford International Bantam Tournament and the B.C. Best Ever in Salmon Arm.

Wudrick had the winning goal in both tournaments completing his hat trick with 50 seconds left at Abbotsford to win their home tournament. He did it again a couple of weeks later, again with 51 seconds remaining as zone 3 won the best ever tournament.

" Swift Current would be a nice place to play for me," said Wudrick. " I have lots of family in Saskatchewan so that would be good." Wudrick has commited to report to the Bronco's if drafted.
